Feel the Renovation
We're excited to take down the scaffolding at last, and to welcome you to the new 8bitpeoples website. We've made a few changes and improvements, so please feel free to have a look around and make yourself at home.

One of the updates that we're particularly excited about is the introduction of a new digital storefront, where, for the first time, 8bitpeoples releases are available to purchase in high-quality audio — your choice of 320 kbps .mp3, or lossless FLAC/ALAC formats. Free versions will continue to be available as they've always been — just accompanied now by the option to support artists (and the label too!) in a more direct way.

This is a work-in-progress, with more releases to be made available in high quality over the coming months. At launch time, about a third of the catalogue is available in high-quality — including killer releases by knife city, Mr. Spastic, Sulumi, Rainbowdragoneyes, glomag, and Radlib — many with updated/upgraded artwork, extra content, and bonus tracks — some of which are available here for the very first time.

And of course we continue to offer tangible items too — from t-shirts and hoodies to CDs, DVDs, and albums that play music straight off of a microchip.

So welcome to the new site, enjoy your stay, tell a friend, and stay tuned as we continue to expand our catalogue, with classic releases and brand new music alike.

Thanks for your support over our 15 years.

CAN'T STOP WON'T STOP
The 8bitpeoples machine keeps humming along. Are you keeping up? Make sure you haven't missed our recent salvo of releases — heavy-hitters from knife city, L-Tron, Doomcloud, Kris Keyser, Yerzmyey, Sulumi, and more.

And there's more where those came from, so stay tuned.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE
+++ BLIP FESTIVAL ***PAUSE*** +++

7 YEARS 11 FESTIVALS 4 CONTINENTS

When we invaded an old bank in NYC's financial district back in 2006 to throw the first Blip Festival, there was no way we could have predicted the way that it would grow over the years. All the while, the organizational team behind-the-scenes has remained a very small and hands-on crew. Running it all has been an immensely rewarding experience, but also incredibly demanding, and often monopolizing our energy and efforts at the expense of other 8bitpeoples projects. So after careful deliberation, we've decided that this October's Blip Festival Tokyo 2012 will be the last installment of the Blip Festival event series for the foreseeable future. A special thanks to Christian Villum, David Adams, Kristy Dossor & Eugene Davoren-Britton -- without whom, the overseas editions of Blip Festival would not have been possible.

To all the people that have shown Blip Festival so much love over the years, we thank you. We hope that you'll come join us for one last hurrah in Tokyo, and that you'll find our other future endeavors worthy of the same enthusiastic support.
